Paul McCord founded MCC Sports, Inc. along with his wife Mindy McCord in 2002. Since the company’s inception Paul has been a key figure behind the strategic growth of women’s and girl’s lacrosse in Florida.
McCord has developed youth programs, clinics, high school teams, college programs and events where girls can play lacrosse in a safe, professional and fun environment. Through lobbying for FHSAA sanctioning and grassroots work with US Lacrosse, Paul has fueled growth in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.
McCord also directly lobbied numerous college and university presidents to start collegiate programs at all levels. His infectious desire to see more opportunities for girls and women to play the sport continues to make an impact on kids all over the country.
McCord has had great success in the coaching world as a women’s lacrosse and football coach. Currently, Paul is the Associate Head Women’s Lacrosse coach at Jacksonville University. Paul began his women’s lacrosse coaching career at Western Maryland College in 1999 where he served as goalie coach.
Before focusing on lacrosse, McCord enjoyed a successful career as a football coach at the college and professional levels. He coached in Super Bowl XXXV when the Ravens defeated the New York Giants to become World Champions.
Paul enjoys spending time with his family, analyzing statistics, writing, motivating and paddle boarding in Neptune Beach, Florida, where he resides.
